Did you miss the
3rd Annual Christmas Tree
and Menorah Lighting and Reception?
Too bad
for you! It was a great time and the weather was
not a deterrent. We simply brought everything
indoors (except the tree and Menorah lighting of
course) and everything went off without a hitch.

A joint invocation was delivered by Rabbi
Goldstein of the Congregation Chabad and Msgr.
Dennis L. Mikulanis, S.T.D., Pastor of San Rafael
Catholic Church.

The Rancho Bernardo High School Madrigals
choral group, under the direction of Director Lisa
Friedrichs, sang beautifully and our dear friend
and Mr. Music Rancho Bernardo Jack Mitchell led
us all in holiday song with his trumpet.

There was plenty of food provided by Cafe Merlot. Everything was delicious and
I personally loved the mini-Ruebens. Thanks to Rick and Toni Kraft, owners of Cafe
Merlot in the Bernardo Winery. Dessert, the best Baklava in town, was provided by
Athens Market Cafe. Thanks to Nick Anastasopoulos who doubled as our Santa
Claus. And a special thank you to our host for the evening, Jill Brierton, San Diego
National Bank, RB Branch Manager.

San Diego 5th District Councilman Carl DeMaio and Santa Claus pulled the switches
to light the Christmas Tree and Menorah.
